Driver Suffers Heart Attack While Driving In Brooklyn Causing Crash

On Tuesday, September 11, a Brooklyn man was traveling on Flatlands Avenue in a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder when he suffered a heart attack at about 9:30 pm. According to police, the vehicle had been traveling in the left lane going eastbound when is quickly moved into the right lane, stopped and then sped into westbound oncoming traffic. The SUV then sideswiped a van and another car before it stopped completely. The driver was taken to the hospital where he died. The drivers of the other cars were also taken to local hospitals for observation. The crash is still being investigated but no arrests have been made.

Car Accident In Brooklyn Leaves Two People Injured

At around 7:00 am on September 11, a car crash occurred at Providence Road, Route 6. The East Brooklyn Fire Department, KB Ambulance, and Mortlake Fire & Ambulance all responded to the accident and the vehicles needed to be removed from the road. Two people were injured in the accident but suffered only minor injuries. The two victims were taken to The Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam for treatment. No further information was available.

Young Boy In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Car In Brooklyn

On Wednesday, September 19, a 3-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle after he went running into the street near The Children’s Place on 44th Street and 13th Avenue. The accident occurred around 2:30 pm in Brooklyn and the child is in critical condition. According to authorities, the child suffered head trauma but was conscious and alert upon their arrival. He was taken to Maimonides Hospital and is expected to survive. The young female driver of the Dodge Caravan remained at the scene of the accident and is cooperating with police. All of the circumstances of the accident are still unclear but an investigation is being conducted.
