Motorcyclist Loses Arm & Leg In Brooklyn Accident

A motorcyclist lost one arm and one leg in a brutal motorcycle accident in Brooklyn on Thursday, May 3. The biker was traveling eastbound on the Belt Parkway near Cropsey Ave. at around 3:15 p.m. when he crashed into the back of a vehicle and went flying into a nearby pole. He was unconscious when medics arrived at the scene and was brought to Coney Island Hospital in critical condition.

Motorcyclist Killed In Brooklyn Vehicle Collision

Another motorcyclist was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Brooklyn on Friday, May 18. The accident occurred at around 10:46 p.m. at Eastern Parkway and Thomas S. Boyland Street in Crown Heights. Police received a 911 call about an accident involving a motorcycle and arrived to find a 28-year-old male motorcyclist lying in the road with trauma all over his body. According to the police investigation, the motorcyclist was riding west on Eastern Parkway near Thomas S. Boyland Street in the left lane while a Honda Civic was driving in the center lane. The driver of the Honda switched into the left lane in front of the motorcyclist, causing the biker to rear-end the Honda.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is currently ongoing.

Elderly Woman Struck By Garbage Truck In Brooklyn

A 78-year old woman was struck by a garbage truck while she was walking in Brooklyn on Monday, May 14. The victim was crossing the street at 18th Avenue and East Fourth Street when the truck hit her. She was brought to a nearby hospital in serious but not life-threatening condition and required surgery.

Two NYPD detectives witnessed the accident and applied a tourniquet to the woman’s leg.

The garbage truck involved is owned by a private sanitation company. The driver remained at the scene and has cooperated.

Woman Killed, Husband Seriously Injured In Accident At Brooklyn Car Wash

An elderly couple was involved in a tragic accident at a Brooklyn car wash on Tuesday, May 1 – leaving the wife dead and husband with life-threatening in.

The accident occurred at around 3:15 p.m. at Avenue U and Gerritsen Avenue in the Marine Park section of the borough. Surveillance footage shows the couple waiting outside of the Mobile gas station for their Honda, which had just gone through the car wash. They were inspecting the back of the vehicle when a black Jeep left in neutral rolled into them.
